We proudly serve Table 87 pizza!

Are you a bar where we can just come & have drinks?

Yes! Get your axe in here and have drink & some food and chill on our patio or in our lodge-like bar lounge. We have board games to help you chill-ax (see what we did there?).

How much does this kick axe activity cost & do I have to pay up front?

The cost is $35+tax/pp for the 60 minute range reservation and you pay when you make the reservation online. Normal reservations are fully refundable up until 24 hours before. Book HERE!

Walk ins - How do they work?

When we do have walk-in space, the range times only start at fixed times, so you probably won't be able to walk in and start throwing - you'll have to wait until the next available start time. Kind of like walking in to the movies. :)

For current start times, click HERE and select the date you want to walk in.

If it shows spaces are available, your best bet is to just reserve the spots!

Do I need a large group to throw?

No! Those that don't have larger groups can book for however many they have, but minimums may apply. See pricing & availability above.

Can we just get a range to ourselves?

YES! Simply reserve all 8 tickets for a range. You can add two more at check out if you do.

Questions? Contact us at!

We are all booking separately so we can pay for ourselves. Will we get to throw together?

Let us know if you are booking with other parties in the notes section at checkout (pick one name to say your are with). We will do our best, but the only foolproof way is to create one booking under one name. If you want two ranges next to each other to start at the same time, please contact us at

I don't want to throw, I just want to come hang with my friends and watch. Do I have to pay?

We have had to change this policy to not allow non-throwers back in the range area due to space requirements. Sorry! You are welcome to sit in our lounge area or outside on our patio and have a drink & snack!

What ages can throw at Kick Axe?

Ages 8 and up as long as they have the strength and coordination to effectively throw a hatchet as judged by our Axe Pros. All children must be under the immediate control of an adult! Officially, there must be 1 adult per 3 kids aged 8 - 14; kids 15 - 17 just need one adult per range. Ages 7 & under are not allowed on site. Sorry!

We have implemented a cool solution for kids who just aren't sticking the axe - they throw one of our foam axes and score wherever they hit the target! This way they can compete with the adults. Yay!

What is your Lateness Policy?

If you arrive after your start time and there are other folks in your range that have started on time, you may not be allowed to throw. If you have the range to yourselves, and there is a reservation right after yours, your throwing time will be shortened to end at the regular time.

Does Kick Axe sell beer/wine & food?

We cannot have hangry, thirsty axe chuckers, so we sell beer/wine/malt/sparkling beverages (like White Claw), soda/water/tea and really delicious paninis & 10" thin-crust pizzas from Table 87 (plus a high-end pop-tart selection)! ID required for the alcohol.

Do you offer catering?

We are axe-cited to offer several awesome caterers for larger events. View our Package Prices & Menus here or contact our Special Events Team at for details!

Things to keep in mind – you must book a special event to be able to bring in catered food or birthday cake (store-bought cupcakes are fine to bring without contacting us). Some caterers have a minimum order size and time requirement. See the specs on each menu.

Birthday Parties, Team Building, Bachelor(ette) Parties... are they hard to arrange?

We make it easy! If you don’t want food or just want to bring in store-bought cupcakes, just make a regular booking for an entire range (8 tickets) and include a Note at check-out that you are having an event.

Note – you need a private range to bring in cupcakes so you need to book a minimum of 8 tickets (and then you can add up to 2 “additional” guests at $35/pp at checkout)

If you do plan on having food packages other than just store-bought cupcakes, you must book through our Special Events department! This way, we can guarantee that the ranges assigned to your group have space for food. Check out our private party page or email us at to learn more!

Our Special Events department can also help you book for groups larger than 10 to ensure ranges are next to each other and start at the same time, or if you want a longer session. For weekend events, try to contact us as far in advance as possible!

Can I book an event outside of your normal hours?

Absolutely! Just email us at More information can be found on our Special Events page HERE.

What is your refund policy?

Oh, no you don't! You can't chicken out! Just kidding. You will get a FULL REFUND if you cancel up to 24 Hours in advance of your time. Sorry but within 24 hours there are no refunds. :'(

If you book a Special Event, you will get a full refund up to 5 days before your reservation.

Can I change or cancel my booking online?

Yes! Up until 24 hours before your reservation, just go to your confirmation email and click the orange View/Change Booking button. You will be able to change the date & time (if available) or cancel.

Will we be taught how to throw?

Each range has an Axe-tructor that not only teaches the rules, but coaches you on how to throw.

What should I wear? Do I have to wear a plaid shirt?

We have only two requirements:

*Closed-toe shoes (no high heels even if they are closed-toe)

*A shirt which gives you full range of motion.

We DO have plenty of plaid flannels for photo ops along with faux tattoo sleeves and beards for the full-effect. You're welcome. Well, maybe not during COVID.

Are you handicapped accessible? Can I throw if I am in a wheelchair?

10-4 on both of those!

Can I bring my own axe?

Unfortunately, our insurance guy says no.

Can I buy Gift Certificates?

Yes, please? Kick Axe Gift Vouchers are fantastic gift ideas for that person who has everything (or just likes to do everything)! Plus they will probably bring you! Buy one HERE.

Where can we find our photos?

We post each motley crew on our Kick Axe facebook page in albums by date and location. Please tag yourselves and share!

Would you like to Kick Axe again? At the end of each month, the group pic with the most likes, tags and shares wins a free session! Get on it!

INSTAGRAM USERS: Right click, save your photo, and post it on your Instagram tagging us @kickaxethrowing and #kickaxethrowing and each month we will randomly select a winner.

Do Axe-tructors accept tips?

Tipping is never required but always appreciated! Our Axe-tructors will do their best to make your experience fun and exciting. It is nice to show them some love! If you don't have cash, our Axe-tructors take Venmo (an awesome cash app) and/or have a Square reader for credit cards.

Oddly enough, the address numbers are out of order on Degraw. Look for the blue mountains mural on the front of our building and the open roll-up door with a Big-Axe Blue Bull!
