We take the safety of our guests & employees very seriously and have stringent safety & sanitization measures in place.
NOTE: EACH RANGE IS NOW PRIVATE SO WE DO HAVE MINIMUM CHARGE THAT INCLUDES UP TO 5 GUESTS (6 on Saturday 4 pm and later), BUT YOU CAN BRING UP TO 10. Each guest above the included base amount is the normal rate of $35 pp.
Thank you so much for understanding!
We hate to be Cranky- McCrankerpants, but please plan to ARRIVE 15-20 MINUTES EARLY! Everyone needs to check in & sign waivers, and traffic in BK AIN'T NO JOKE.
Also, you must wear or bring CLOSED-TOE SHOES (save the piggies :)).
We proudly serve Table 87 pizza!
Are you a bar where we can just come & have drinks?
Yes! Get your axe in here and have drink & some food and chill on our patio or in our lodge-like bar lounge. We have board games to help you chill-ax (see what we did there?). NOTE: Indoor dining is restricted during COVID, but we have snacks and personal pizzas available.
How much does this kick axe activity cost & do I have to pay up front?
NOTE: Since each range is temporarily PRIVATE, we do have a minimum charge. It includes up to five guests (6 on Saturday 4 pm and later), but you can bring up to 10. Each guest above the included base amount is the normal rate of $35 pp. Thank you so much for understanding!
The cost is $35+tax/pp for the 60 minute range reservation and you pay when you make the reservation online. Normal reservations are fully refundable up until 24 hours before. Book HERE!
Walk ins - How do they work?
When we do have walk-in space, the range times only start at fixed times, so you probably won't be able to walk in and start throwing - you'll have to wait until the next available start time. Kind of like walking in to the movies. :)
For current start times, click HERE and select the date you want to walk in.
If it shows spaces are available, your best bet is to just reserve the spots!
Do I need a large group to throw?
NOTE: Since each range is temporarily PRIVATE, we do have a minimum charge. It includes up to five guests (6 on Saturday 4 pm and later), but you can bring up to 10. Each guest above the included base amount is the normal rate of $35 pp. Thank you so much for understanding! No! Those that don't have larger groups and don't mind potentially throwing with strangers or having their group split between ranges (a rare event) can book for however many they have.
Can we just get a range to ourselves?
NOTE: Since each range is temporarily PRIVATE, we do have a minimum charge. It includes up to five guests (6 on Saturday 4 pm and later), but you can bring up to 10. Each guest above the included base amount is the normal rate of $35 pp. Thank you so much for understanding! Eight tickets translates to 1 Range to yourselves. To be the only guests in a range, search for and purchase 8 tickets on our booking page. If you purchase fewer than 8 tickets, you will just share the range with some new axe-throwing pals (public ranges can host up to 10)!
Once you have a range to yourselves with 8 tickets, this means you can also purchase up to 4 "extra" tickets for that range, maxing out at 12. (Just be sure to add those 4 in the *extra* tickets prompt during check out, rather than in your original search!)
16 regular tickets translates to 2 Ranges to yourselves. With 16 regular tickets, this means you can also purchase up to 8 "extra" tickets for your ranges, maxing out at 24. (Just be sure to add those 8 in the *extra* tickets prompt during check out, rather than in your original search!)
**EXTRA TICKETS are ONLY available with full-range bookings of 8 or 16 tickets! Adding "extra" tickets to a 2-ticket booking will not allow you to add extra people to a range that is already full. :^) This will not be fun for anyone, as nobody wants to be crammed together!
More than 24? Contact us at email@example.com!
We are all booking separately so we can pay for ourselves. Will we get to throw together?
Let us know if you are booking with other parties in the notes section at checkout (pick one name to say your are with). We will do our best, but the only foolproof way is to create one booking under one name. NOTE: Accommodating this during COVID is difficult as we have to space every other range and at staggered times.
I don't want to throw, I just want to come hang with my friends and watch. Do I have to pay?
We have had to change this policy to not allow non-throwers back in the range area due to space requirements. Sorry! You are welcome to sit in our lounge area or outside on our patio and have a drink & snack!
What ages can throw at Kick Axe?
Ages 8 and up as long as they have the strength and coordination to effectively throw a hatchet as judged by our Axe Pros. All children must be under the immediate control of an adult! Officially, there must be 1 adult per 3 kids aged 8 - 14; kids 15 - 17 just need one adult per range. Ages 7 & under are not allowed on site. Sorry!
We have implemented a cool solution for kids who just aren't sticking the axe - they throw one of our foam axes and score wherever they hit the target! This way they can compete with the adults. Yay!
What is your Lateness Policy?
PLEASE MAKE SURE TO ARRIVE 20 MINUTES BEFORE YOUR START TIME!
If you arrive after your start time and do not have the range to yourselves, you may not be allowed to join the range. This is because it wouldn't be fair to stop the other guests' gameplay in order to give your group the safety guidelines and instructions, when the other guests arrived on time and paid the same amount for their tickets!
You are fine if you have the entire range booked to yourselves - your throwing time will just be shortened to end at the regular time.
Can we bring our own food and/or drink?
Only if you have reserved a Special Event. If you'd like to bring a cake, have catering or delivery on site, this would require a Special Event so that we can set up a table for you. Click here to read more about Special Events, which must be booked through the Special Events department (reached via ).
A birthday cake would also require a Special Event table. Please note we do not have napkins, cutlery, or plates, and cannot allow ice cream cake or home-made cake (health code).
If you just want to bring cupcakes, you are able to bring them to any type of reservation. (Just as long as they're store-bought)
No BYOB is allowed, as we do have a bar on site.
Does Kick Axe sell beer/wine & food?
We cannot have hangry, thirsty axe chuckers, so we sell beer/wine/malt beverages (like White Claw), soda/water/tea and really delicious 10" thin-crust pizzas from Table 87 (plus a high-end pop-tart selection)! ID required for the alcohol. Menu is limited during COVID.
Do you offer catering?
Things to keep in mind – you must book a special event to be able to bring in food. Some caterers have a minimum order size and time requirement. See the specs on each menu.
Birthday Parties, Team Building, Bachelor(ette) Parties... are they hard to arrange?
Please contact us to plan your event during restrictions! We can definitely try to accommodate you!!
We make it easy! If you don’t want food or just want to bring in store-bought cupcakes, just make a regular booking following the rules below and include a Note at check-out that you are having an event.
Remember – if you want one reserved range, you need to book a minimum of 8 tickets (and then you can add 4 “additional” guests at $35/pp at checkout). If you want two reserved ranges, then you will need to book a minimum of 16 tickets (and then add up to 8 “additional” guests at $35/pp during checkout). Don’t forget to put a note that you are requesting a range to yourselves!
Just want to bring cupcakes? You may as long as the cupcakes are store-bought! But email if you have any questions.

If you book a Special Event, you will get a full refund up to 5 days before your reservation.
Can I change or cancel my booking online?
Yes! Up until 24 hours before your reservation, just go to your confirmation email and click the orange View/Change Booking button. You will be able to change the date & time (if available) or cancel. If you have a range to yourselves (your original booking was for 8 people), you can add up to 4 tickets.
Will we be taught how to throw?
Each range has a dedicated Axe-tructor that not only teaches the rules, but coaches you on how to throw. You will never be in the range without your Axe-tructor! Note: During COVID-19, your Axe Pro will be masked and gloved and try to keep a 6 foot distance at all times.
What should I wear? Do I have to wear a plaid shirt?
We have only two requirements (three during COVID):
*Closed-toe shoes (no high heels even if they are closed-toe)
*A shirt which gives you full range of motion.
*A mask to wear
We DO have plenty of plaid flannels for photo ops along with faux tattoo sleeves and beards for the full-effect. You're welcome. (These will return after COVID)
Are you handicapped accessible? Can I throw if I am in a wheelchair?
10-4 on both of those!
Can I bring my own axe?
Unfortunately, our insurance guy says no.
Can I buy Gift Certificates?
Yes, please? Kick Axe Gift Vouchers are fantastic gift ideas for that person who has everything (or just likes to do everything)! Plus they will probably bring you! Buy one HERE.
Where can we find our photos?
We post each motley crew on our Kick Axe facebook page in albums by date and location. Please tag yourselves and share!

Do Axe-tructors accept tips?
Tipping is never required but always appreciated! Our Axe-tructors will do their best to make your experience fun and exciting. It is nice to show them some love! If you don't have cash, our Axe-tructors take Venmo (an awesome cash app) and/or have a Square reader for credit cards.
